Links to on-line tools to validate that your webpages conform to the specifications for (X)HTML, CSS, sitemaps, etc.
Most Web documents are written using markup languages, such as HTML or XHTML. These languages are defined by technical specifications, which usually include a machine-readable formal grammar (and vocabulary). The act of checking a document against these constraints is called validation.
Validators
In addition to validating the WebPage, validators also exist to check the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), the sitemap.xml and even the site’s favicon.
WebPage Validation
The World Wide Web Consortium W3C, is the main international standards organization for the World Wide Web. They provide free online validators for HTML, XHTML and so on. Here is the validator for WebPages:

Sitemap.xml Validation
The Sitemaps.xml protocol allows a webmaster to inform search engines (such as Google) about URLs on a website that are available for crawling. A Sitemap is an XML file that lists the URLs for a site. The specification for the sitemap.xml file can be found at sitemaps.org.

Favicon Validator
A favicon (favorite icon), is a 16×16 pixel square icon associated with a particular website or webpage. Browsers that provide favicon support will display a page’s favicon in the browser’s Address bar and next to the page’s name in a list of bookmarks.
